Privacy Policy for Reframed

What we collect

• A device identifier (UUID) stored on your device and in our database. This is used to persist your subscription status and last generated content across reinstalls. It is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID.
• Subscription status via RevenueCat. RevenueCat's privacy policy governs how they handle payment data.
• Last generated content batch (word, pieces, challenge) stored in our database to restore your experience if you reinstall.
• A record of your acceptance of our legal disclosures — including the document type, version, and timestamp — so we can demonstrate compliance and provide you with a record on request. This record is associated with your device identifier, not with personal information.

What we do not collect

• Your journal entries, arc history, affirmation recordings, or any personal reflections. These stay on your device and never leave it.
• Your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information.
• Location data.

AI and your data

Reframed uses third-party AI providers to generate personalized content. Your prompts — which include your onboarding responses, daily check-in answers, and chat messages — are sent via a secure proxy to Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI, depending on the type of content being generated. Each provider's privacy policy applies to the data it receives. We do not permit these providers to train models on your data.

We do not store your chat messages or onboarding answers on our servers. They remain on your device.

Data retention

Your device identifier and last generated content batch are retained until you delete your account via the in-app account deletion feature. Account deletion removes all server-side data immediately.
